Biography
Rob has been a massage therapist for ten years and considers providing massage and bodywork to a diverse range of clientele a privilege. “People are, and should be, picky about who puts their hands on them,” he says. Some of Rob's clients have suffered for years with chronic pain and he works with focus, precision and a nurturing touch to relieve discomfort. “You know you're doing it right when people realise massage is not just an indulgence, but is having a real and positive effect on their health and well-being.” Rob's emphasis in health is on movement with ease. Watching his children move and play is an inspiration to him. “There's a fluidity in the way they move. Movement is key and it's something we can regain with practice and awareness. The human body is amazing and I'm constantly blown away with its healing potential.” Rob believes a good massage therapist is committed to self-study, always in pursuit of more knowledge, feedback and facilitating better results. He's also motivated to promote the understanding that to treat a person can mean allowing for more than a specific injury or area of pain. “Sometimes just powering down the busy mind and nervous system for the session can be the high point for somebody's day."
