Biography
Ian comes from a background that included teaching, building, banking and work in the disability sector before he came to Laidlaw College as a student in 1993. He has three teenage boys (one of whom is autistic) and attends Massey Community Church. Ian completed a BA in English in 1985, a Diploma of Teaching in 1986 and a Bachelor of Ministries in 1995, before coming to work at College in 2002. He completed his MTh in 2014, with a thesis entitled “Servanthood, Slavery and Service as a Narrative Theme in the Gospel of Mark”. He lectures in the Diploma in Christian Studies in the areas of biblical studies and theology.
