Biography
Karl Rich Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce at Lincoln University New Zealand. Over 18 years of progressively responsible research and teaching experience in the areas of international development, value chain analysis, agribusiness, animal health and veterinary economics, and multi-sectoral policy analysis. Previous experience includes working as a staff member and consultant in the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) at the International Food Policy Research Institute and International Livestock Research Institute; Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs; Adjunct Professor at Scotland's Rural College and the Universtiy of New England. Travelled to nearly 70 countries, with short-or long term work experience in over 25 countries in Latin America, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe.
Research Interest
Value chains, livestock and animal health economics, systems modelling, agricultural and agribusiness policy.
