Kiri Hurunui

Biography

Kiri Hurunui has been seconded from Agribusiness & Commerce where she has worked for the last 8 years. Her role as Kairangahau Māori will provide efficient administrative and research support to the Māori researchers in the Māori Bioprotection programme. She will work with Māori communities, specifically kaumatua, to ensure they are treated in a manner consistent with tikanga Māori. The position aims to contribute to the building and sustaining of the Māori bioprotection research team as a critically competent kaupapa Māori research and development unit.
