Biography
Lloyd Carpenter Faculty of Environment, Society and Design at Lincoln University New Zealand. Teaches the history and meaning of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the culture of Nga Tikanga MÄori, and Te Ao Marama, the modern MÄori world.
Research Interest
My research interests lie in New Zealand History, including gold rush history, Rushing for Gold – Life and Commerce on the New Zealand and Australian Goldfieldsthe history of the New Zealand Wars 1840s – 1880s; MÄori fortification construction, New Zealand’s early architectural practices, and the theory and study of heritage landscapes.
