Biography
Dr. Craig McGill is currently working as a Research Officer in the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Massey univesity , Newzealand. His research interests includes Seed Science and Technology with a research focus on seed of both introduced and indigenous plant species.. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Craig McGill is the member of many international affiliations. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He has authored of many research articles/books related to Seed Science and Technology with a research focus on seed of both introduced and indigenous plant species..
Research Interest
1. Seed conservation, in particular ex situ conservation of seed in seed banks and the factors that affect seed longevity in storage. 2. Seed germination and the mechanisms by which seed dormancy is imposed. 3. Methodology for the assessment of seed quality. 4. Transmissiion of endophytic fungi into the seed and subsequently the developing plant.
