Dr. Janet Reid is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Systems, Massey univesity , Newzealand. Her research interests includes Agricultural extension and consultancy as a form of governing but also as a form of rural development.. She is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Janet Reid is the member of many international affiliations. She has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities. she has authored of many research articles/books related to Agricultural extension and consultancy as a form of governing but also as a form of rural development..
Research Interest
Governance and governing of New Zealand agriculture in particular sustainable agriculture. Farmers knowldge cultures and the influence of this on farmers pacactice but also how to capture this to inform and influence policy that impacts on farmers. The role of regional councils and central gvoernment in shaping on-farm decisions by farmers. Agricultural extension and consultancy as a form of governing but also as a form of rural development. The application of systems innovation in the primary sectors in New Zealand.
