Biography
Dr. Nalanie Mithraratne is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Engineering and Advanced Technology-Albany, Massey univesity , Newzealand.
Research Interest
Nalanie is a researcher in the life cycle assessment of construction systems, embodied energy assessment, and carbon and energy footprinting. She has contributed to knowledge in the fields of Energy and Environment in many fields, including residential buildings, food, infrastructure, transport and construction waste. Her work on infrastructure has explored and compared in detail the environmental impact of mains supply of services such as water and electricity, compared with localised supply from rain water tanks or domestic renewable energy systems.
