Biography
Dr. Shane Telfer is currently working as a Professor in Chemistry in the Department of  Fundamental Sciences, Massey univesity , Newzealand.
Research Interest
Supramolecular chemistry and functional materials, especially those involving transition metals. We focus on the design of molecule-based materials, implement methods for their synthesis, then investigate their properties. Molecular design, synthetic chemistry, and materials analysis underpin our research. Our current primary focal points are metal-organic framework (MOF) 'molecular sponges' that can be used for gas separation, storage and catalysis, and chromophoric transition metal complexes.
