Meeta Gulyani

Biography

 Meeta Gulyani is Head of Strategy, Business Development and Transformation. In this role, she leads the development of the sector strategy and strategic planning process across the organization. She also searches out and delivers deals of value to enable the achievement of the life science strategy and growth ambition. Gulyani was Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy and Global Franchises for the biopharma business of Merck. In this role, she was responsible for global business franchises, including Oncology, Neurology, Fertility, General Medicine & Endocrinology, and Medical Devices, as well as key global functions. Prior to joining Merck, Gulyani served as General Manager for South Asia at Roche, and before that as Vice President, Head of Global Portfolio Management for the company. Before working for Roche, she held several marketing and sales leadership positions of increasing responsibility within Sanofi-Aventis’s global and U.S. organizations. She also served as a strategy consultant with the Monitor Consulting Group based in Hong Kong and the United States. Meeta holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines, accompanied by an exchange program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University in India.
