Biography
Maree is a disciplined mid-court netballer with extensive high-level experience, including nine years in the National Bank Cup, two years with NZA and two years with the Silver Ferns squad. Called up to the Silver Ferns Squad in October 2006, Bowden made her on-court debut against Jamaica in July 2007. She added four test caps to her record in 2008, and filled the wing attack position for all four quarters of the Silver Ferns’ 61-22 defeat of England in Palmerston North. Maree is a staunch advocate for a balanced lifestyle in improving the health of New Zealand women. She has a strong affinity for those women and their families who have battled breast cancer and is delighted to be an Ambassador for BCFNZ
