Mathew Ludgate

Biography

Dr Mathew Ludgate is a specialist dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. He completed his medical degree with distinction at the University of Otago in Dunedin. Following training in internal medicine and medical oncology at the Dunedin Public Hospital, Dr Ludgate pursued advanced dermatology and dermatologic surgery training in Auckland. In 2006, he was awarded a prestigious Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, U.S.A. There he gained extensive experience with all aspects of skin surgery including Mohs micrographic surgery, melanoma surgery, cosmetic dermatology and advanced facial reconstructive surgery while working with some of the worlds top dermatologic and facial plastic surgeons. Following his fellowship, Dr Ludgate was recruited to stay at the University of Michigan as an Assistant Professor.
