Jan Barker

Biography

 Jan has been working with the Foundation as Volunteer Financial Officer since 2009 and is an integral part of our team. In addition to her significant volunteer work for the Foundation, Jan and her husband, Nick, also run their own successful Auckland based plumbing business, K & B Plumbing Ltd. The Company has played a significant role in supporting the Foundation since Jan started working as a Volunteer in 2009. Jan has a vested interest in helping the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation as she is a survivor of a gynaecological cancer, has lost close family members to gynaecological cancer's and has had close friends go through similar experiences. Jan and Nick have two grown sons and are making the most of their newly acquired ‘empty nest’ status to travel as much as possible.
