Research Interest
Brian’s research is focused on Chinese history, especially Chinese historiography. He is currently working on two projects. The first focsues on Gu Jiegang, one of the most prominent historians in post-imperial China; the second examines how historians have been reassessing the Chinese contribution to world history.
