Biography
Community response to sustainability challenges is a recurring theme in my teaching and research. My Masters research explored co-management arrangements between indigenous groups and government for sea turtle conservation in Suriname. I completed my PhD in Geography at Simon Fraser University on community engagement for sustainable community development in 2009, based on case study research of urban, rural and First Nation community sustainability initiatives
