Biography

I've been with Sealord since 2013. In Procurement, we make sure that whatever supplies are needed, they're on-site, on time and of the best quality. However, it's not as straightforward as looking through a product catalogue and just ordering what's needed. We aim to maximise value from every dollar Sealord spends. That's a real skill and hard to achieve because you can often buy cheaper but if it doesn't last as long what's the benefit? We add value by asking the right questions and motivating suppliers. It's vital that we as a team work closely with all areas of the business, not just fishing but including anything from Consumer and IT, through innovation (in readiness for new product launches) and also our global businesses such as King Reef and Australia.
