Biography
Dr Tyrie has extensive experience in the treatment of genitourinary cancer. Leanne is a graduate of Otago University and, in 1994, having completed a Fellowship at Mt Vernon Hospital in England, returned to New Zealand where she has practiced as a Radiation Oncologist for 20 years. She is a medical advisor for the New Zealand Prostate Cancer Foundation, currently pathology examiner for the RANZCR, is a member of multidisciplinary urology groups and has held several senior medical leadership roles regionally and nationally. She is skilled in the use of high dose brachytherapy to manage prostate cancer. Leanne has experience in HDR, VMAT, IMRT and IGRT and has an ongoing commitment to research and education in her tumour stream areas.
