Mr Andrew Matthews

Biography

Mr Andrew Matthews trained in orthopaedic surgery in New Zealand and was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He undertook over 2 years of subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery, knee surgery and trauma at large teaching hospitals in the United Kingdom. He has also previously completed a diploma in sports and exercise medicine in the UK. Mr Matthews is currently a consultant at Capital and Coast DHB and his private practice is based at Southern Cross Hospital - Wellington, for both consultation and surgery. Mr Matthews practice includes knee and hip arthroplasty, knee ligament, cartilage and meniscal arthroscopic surgery and all aspects of foot and ankle open and arthroscopic surgery.
