Biography
Dr Dean Ruske graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in 1991. His FRACS specialty training started in 1997 in Dunedin and was completed in 2000, in Christchurch. A post graduate fellowship was undertaken in Adelaide in 2002-3 under Professor Suren Krishnan and Guy Rees.This fellowship also resulted in significant training in endoscopic sinus surgery and Rhinology, including rhinoplasty surgery. This fellowship was primarily in Head and Neck Surgery for benign and malignant conditions including thyroid surgery. Dean works in Dunedin and Invercargill hospitals in the public sector and maintains an interest in registrar teaching. He is currently the Southern Regional Training Committee member for registrar training. Dean provides private ORL services to Otago and Southland, based from his clinic at Suite 20, Marinoto Clinic in Dunedin. He is a Southern Cross Health Society Affiliated Provider for ENT and skin cancer surgery.
