Biography
I am an orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialty training in hand and upper limb surgery. I completed the New Zealand Orthopaedic training programme under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. I am committed to both public and private practice. I hold a position as an orthopaedic surgeon in the Department of Surgery at Wellington Regional Hospital. I completed two post-graduate clinical and research fellowships in hand and upper Limb surgery: - Perth Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Clinic in Perth, Western Australia - Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London, Ontario (Canada) Current membership of professional/other bodies Royal Australasian College of Surgeons NZ Orthopaedic Association NZ Shoulder and Elbow Society NZ Hand Society American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
Research Interest
I have a particular interest in treating disorders of the upper limb, and my special clinical interests include: - arthroscopic and open management of shoulder instability and rotator cuff disease - shoulder and elbow disorders, including management of arthritis and stiffness - hand and wrist disorders - entrapment neuropathies
