Biography
After my orthopaedic training in Belgium, I completed a fellowship - in 1998 - at Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland. We fell in love with New Zealand and, after 13 years in a private practice in Belgium, decided we were ready for a lifestyle change. My main interests and competence are in paediatric orthopaedics, spinal and foot surgery. Since I have worked in a trauma centre in Belgium, and now here in Wellington Hospital, I have experience in, and feel comfortable with, trauma or trauma-related orthopaedic procedures. I do not, however, perform hip, knee or shoulder arthroscopy or arthroplasty. Current membership of professional/other bodies NZOA POSNZ RACS BOTA (Belgian Orthopaedic and Trauma Association) BAPO (Belgian Association of Paediatric Orthopaedics)
