Biography
I trained in New Zealand at Auckland University and passed the FRACS in 1998. Following this, I spent two years training in GI and Colorectal surgery at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. I am currently the Clinical Head of the Colorectal unit at North Shore Hospital and a member of the Melanoma unit. My other professional activities include running the Auckland Surgical Trainee teaching program and surgical research. I enjoy teaching and am happy to teach at GP meetings. Research Interest
Colorectal surgery including IBD, cancer and benign disease Melanoma/skin cancer surgery (including sentinel node biopsy) Laparoscopic surgery including gallbladder and hernia. I also practice endoscopy and colonoscopy Therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy including colonic polypectomy and stenting
