Biography
Alana considers herself a Tauranga local despite being born in Lower Hutt and living there until the age of 14. Having spent many hours undergoing physiotherapy rehab as a patient Alana decided to go straight to university upon finishing high school in 2010 to study physiotherapy. Alana graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 2014 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy). After spending four years in Auckland Alana was more than ready to return to the sunny Bay of Plenty and joined the Body in Motion team in January 2015. Alana comes from a background of playing hockey and cricket, and has family members involved in triathlon, running and netball. This has given Alana a passion for sports and the outdoors which she hopes to bring to her new career.
