Belinda Lawrence

Biography

I have a Master of Arts in Psychology from Victoria University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Teaching from Otago University. I am currently enrolled in a PhD through Otago University, looking at the individual and environmental factors that influence online and distance teachers’ teaching practices. Earlier in my career, I worked in strategic planning, business analysis and workplace training. I’ve also worked with small businesses developing systems and processes.

Research Interest

I’m interested in teaching beliefs and practices, use of technology in teaching and holistic approaches to understanding systems and processes. Within the fields of psychology I am especially interested in Social Psychology, Language, Communication, and intergroup relationships including gender, culture and power issues.
