Biography
I have a Master of Arts in Social Science Research (Applied), Master of Arts in Creative Writing (Scriptwriting) and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature all obtained from Victoria University of Wellington. I am an experienced distance learning teacher, advisor, and writer, for business communication and public relations courses. I have worked as a Senior Resettlement Consultant in Wellington, providing research, education, and advocacy for relocating professionals and their families. I also have extensive commercial experience managing highly competitive key accounts in the manufacturing and service industries.
Research Interest
I am an experienced social researcher with a special interest in the experience of immigrant communities in New Zealand. Awarded three times for my research on the Lebanese community in Wellington by the Ministry for Culture and Heritage, I specialise in oral history interviewing, and am on the committee for the National Oral History Association of New Zealand.
