Samantha Lentle-keenan

Biography

I have doctorate, master’s and honours degrees in English literature from Victoria University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in art history. Before coming to the Open Polytechnic, I worked as a contract writer and researcher. I have also worked as a tutor in English literature and business writing at Victoria University of Wellington. I am currently a distance student myself, studying towards a diploma in higher education with Otago University.

Research Interest

I publish in the areas of New Zealand history and literature. My current literary research is based on my PhD and considers how poetry can be understood as autobiography. I am also an active researcher in the areas of writing theory and practice, and distance learning and teaching.
