Biography
Chris joined Todd Energy in 2002 as its first General Counsel and was appointed to his current role in July 2011. As Group General Counsel, he has functional oversight of all legal and regulatory matters in Todd. He also Chairs the management Regulatory Compliance and Policy Management Committees. As Vice President Growth Businesses, he: has executive responsibility for Integria Healthcare and for Todd’s investment in PartsTrader Markets Ltd.; leads Todd’s Technology and Food investment strategies; and provides executive supervision to Group Procurement. Chris was a member of the Executive Committee of PEPANZ for 6 years, including 2 as Chair, was a director of STOS from 2004 to 2017 and is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. Chris has an Ll.B. (Hons) from the University of Otago, an Ll.M. from UBC and has completed a post graduate course in Strategic Management from Macquarie University, Sydney. Before joining Todd, Chris spent 12 years at Bell Gully, practicing energy law, competition and trade practices, dispute resolution and the Treaty of Waitangi. He is married with two sons and is keen on travel, sports administration and adventure racing.
