Biography
I am a Massey University Veterinary Graduate (2001). Following a year in small animal practice, I completed a residency in veterinary clinical pathology. This area focuses on the pathophysiology and diagnosis of animal diseases. I was employed as an academic staff member in veterinary clinical pathology in February 2006. Since that time I have become involved in working with our international BVSc students and on the veterinary science students selection committee. I became the chair of the selection committee in early 2012 and later that year was appointed as the Associate Veterinary Programme Director - Admission and Student Affairs.
Research Interest
My clinical pathology research interests are the haematology of New Zealand native wildlife, particularly avian species, and companion animal urinalysis and urine testing. I am also interested in the issues surrounding veterinary education, particularly the admission process, and will be researching various aspects of veterinary student selection.
