Biography
Linda Tuhiwai Smith is Professor of Education and MÄori Development at the University of Waikato. She holds the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor MÄori and Dean of the School of MÄori and Pacific Development. Dr Smith is a Fellow of the American Association for Research in Education. She serves on a number of New Zealand’s research organisations and funding bodies. Dr Smith was awarded a New Zealand Honour in 2012 and a Distinguished Companion of The New Zealand Order of Merit.
