Biography
Prof Philip J Harris is full professor at the Department of Plant Molecular Science in the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Research Interest
His interests centre on plant cell walls, embracing all aspects of their structure, composition, biosynthesis and evolution. He is also interested in cell walls in woody plants, in non-wood fibre plants (for textiles and composites), in forage plants (fibre) for ruminant animals, in food plants for humans (dietary fibres) and in plants used as biomass for the production of second generation biofuels.
