Biography
Dr. Htin Aung is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Department of Microbiology and Immunology at University of Otago School of Biomedical Sciences, New Zealand. His Qualification includes: PhD. His research focuses on the role of next-generation sequencing technologies in diagnostic microbiology and public health. They are currently performing whole-genome sequencing of drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates for rapid diagnosis and genotyping. His research also focuses on the development of new anti-TB drugs targeting bacterial metabolism and energetics. In particular, he is interested in identifying key regulatory networks that coordinates Mycobacterial metabolism. He is the author of several articles published in many reputed journals.
Research Interest
