Biography
Dr. Jeff Erickson is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physiology, University of Otago School of Biomedical Sciences , New Zealand. His research interests includes Heart disease. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Jeff Erickson is the member of many international affiliations. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He has authored of many research articles/books related to Heart disease.
Research Interest
Dr. Jeff Erickson's research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms that underlie structural heart disease and heart failure, particularly in the context of aging and diabetes. To this end, we have developed a number of novel tools to assess cardiac signaling pathways. These include FRET-based biosensors to measure kinase activity and localization in living cells custom antibodies to measure biochemical modifications of proteins a variety of animal models with enhanced or reduced susceptibility to cardiac pathology.
