Biography
Prior to joining the department in 2017, Dr Lincoln C. Wood was a Senior Lecturer in the Graduate School of Management at the University of Auckland, having previously also worked at the Auckland University of Technology (Auckland, NZ) and Curtin University (Western Australia). He holds a BCom(Hons) (Operations Management), a BSc (Chemistry and Statistics), MCom (Operations and Supply Chain Management), and a PhD (Operations and Supply Chain Management) from the University of Auckland. Specialising in supply chain management, Lincoln’s work has been published in a number of leading journals, including: Transportation Research Part B: Methodological The Journal of Cleaner Production International Journal of Operations & Production Management International Journal of Project Management Applied Economics The Service Industries Journal Lincoln’s research and connections with business have led to working closely with several industry association including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). His expertise has led to invitations to present and lead workshops and present at several international, industry-focused conferences. He is on the editorial boards for a number of international journals focused on supply chain management, including the Journal of Supply Chain Management.
Research Interest
Lincoln’s core research focus on two broad themes: Sustainable and consumer-focused outcomes through supply chain practices, with a particular focus on applications in the construction sector. This includes examining a range of sustainable supply chain practices and consideration of ethical and privacy issues when using supply chain technologies. Logistics relationships, dynamics, and the use of technology with a focus on 3PLs and logistics service providers.
