Biography
Dr Mei Zhang is a Senior Research Fellow employed by Clinical Pharmacology, Department of Medicine, University of Otago, Christchurch and by Toxicology, Canterbury Health Laboratories. Originally trained as a medical doctor in China, Mei has completed a PhD from the School of Pharmacy, University of Otago entitled "Chiral Studies of the metabolism of formoterol and salmeterol in humans". Mei develops assays for drug analysis from biological matrices that are being investigated in various research projects and is continuing research in drug isomerisation.
