Biography
Dr. Paul Thorsnes is currently working as a Head of Department in the Department of Economics, University of Otago, New Zealand. His research interests includes applied microeconomics, urban economics, and environmental economics. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Paul Thorsnes is the member of many international affiliations. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He has authored of many research articles/books related to applied microeconomics, urban economics, and environmental economics.
Research Interest
Paul’s research interests are primarily in the areas of urban and environmental economics and policy. Topics of recent and current research include study of interactions among urban amenities (local public goods) and residential development patterns, estimates of the values of urban amenities using data from house sales and stated choice surveys, and studies of variation in stated and revealed preferences for household energy-efficiency retrofits. Paul’s teaching interests are in applied microeconomics, urban economics, and environmental economics.
