Biography
Professor Steven Grover researches issues of behavioural ethics and interpersonal treatment, most recently examining issues of respect and trust between followers and leaders. This work has appeared in top international journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Relations, and Organization Science (17 articles at the A* level). He is originally from the United States, where he earned a doctorate from Columbia University, and held assistant and associate professor positions at Indiana University and Georgia State University before migrating to New Zealand in 2002. His research network extends to colleagues in the U.S.A. and Europe, where he has held visiting appointments at EMLyon (France), Université de Toulouse, Hanken (Helsinki), Helsinki School of Economics, and Jean Moulin University (Lyon 3) . He currently works with a team of researchers that has received a multi-year grant from the French government to investigate trust violation and recovery. He served as Deputy Dean of the School of Business 2006-2009 and was elected to the board of the European Group on Organization Studies 2006-2009.
