Biography
Kathryn graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in 2007. She then worked for three years in private practice in the Wellington region with a focus on Sports Physiotherapy and Older Persons Health. During this time Kathryn achieved Credentialed Therapist status in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. She also worked closely with Wellington Gymnastics, travelling with the Artistic gymnastics team to the National Championships. After a year working in Australia, Kathryn headed to the UK and spent five years working for a large private physiotherapy company in London. During this time Kathryn worked within Sports Physiotherapy, the National Health (NHS) service and Occupational Health. In the latter three years, she worked as the Clinical Lead in the company’s Occupational Health physiotherapy service. Kathryn ran the Occupational Health Physiotherapy service at two large NHS Trusts, rehabilitating workers with musculoskeletal conditions and assisting the management with return to work planning for their staff members.
