Biography
Lt. General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) GCON, joined the Board of May & Baker Nigeria Plc in 2003. A retired soldier, business mogul, shipping magnate and administrator, Lt. Gen. Danjuma sits on the board of several blue chip companies in Nigeria including South Atlantic Petroleum Company Limited, Union Dicon Salt Nigeria Plc, Nigeria-American Line Limited, among others. He has several traditional, national and international honours and awards including the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) conferred on him in 1979 and the national honours of Somalia, 1979 and Poland, 1980. A philanthropist, Lt. Gen. Danjuma is the founder and promoter of T.Y. Danjuma Foundation, a leading non-governmental philanthropic organisation focused on the wellbeing of the less privileged and general good of the society.
