Wale Tinubu is the Group Chief Executive of Oando PLC, Africa’s leading indigenous energy solutions provider listed on the Nigerian and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges. He serves on the board of various blue-chip companies as Chairman and Director. In 2007, he was named a Global Young Leader by the World Economic Forum, Geneva, in recognition of his achievements as one of the leading executives under 41. In 2010, Wale won the Africa’s ‘Business Leader of the Year’ award by the African Business Magazine and the Commonwealth Business Council on the basis of his contributions to the development of the African Oil and Gas industry. In 2011, he was awarded the ‘African Business Leader of the Year’ by Africa Investor. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Liverpool, England in 1988 and Masters of Law (LLM) from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom, in 1989 where he specialised in International Finance and Shipping.
