Biography
Godwin Imade PhD, has experience and training as a Laboratory Director and a Researcher to provide strong virology laboratory leadership, mentorship and research training for this D43 Fogarty application. As a Research Reader he has successfully managed and coordinated laboratory research projects in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Jos (UNIJOS)/Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) for over two decades. Since its inception in 2001, he managed the PEPFAR/APIN supported laboratory in JUTH. The laboratory has grown from it modest beginning into a state-of-the-art HIV/AIDS center with over 35 well trained staff providing solid and strong support for Harvard PEPFAR HIV care and treatment, HCT, PMTCT and HIV genotyping programs.
