Biography

Stephen Oguche, MBBS, is a trained Pediatrician including adolescent medicine and more than twenty years of clinical practice and research involving children in general and adolescence in particular afforded him the expertise, leadership, training and motivation to participate successfully in the research project/grant being sought. His research focus has been mainly in the subspecialty of infectious diseases affecting children in principally in relation to prevalent infectious diseases mainly malaria, HIV and TB and other co-infections in the main among others. He has served as PI and co-investigator in several studies. Dr. Oguche also participated in many studies investigating different pharmacological molecules some of which are now in the market. He has been involved in providing care to patients (Children), building the capacity of hundreds of health workers in Nigeria, and participating in implementation research that provide data useful for treatment policy on infectious diseases.
