Ani Jane Chinyelu

Biography

Jane Chinyelu Ani (nee Onweluzo) is a professor of Food Science and Technology, University of Nigeria Nsukka. She had her secondary school education in Archdeacon Crowther Memorial Secondary School, Elelenwa Port Harcourt and Queen’s School Enugu. She studied Food Science and Technology in the University of Nigeria Nsukka and served as a quality controller (NYSC) in Lafia Canning Factory, Ibadan an establishment that produced beverages from indigenous fruits. Subsequently, she was employed as a Lecturer in Federal Polytechnic Idah. She had passion for food processing and led the product development team that produced and exhibited ‘PEP’ (POLYTECHNIC ENERGY PRODUCTS) from local fruits and vegetables to the National Science and Technology Fair for made in Nigeria products in Lagos in 1980.
