Biography

Edafiogho Dennis O.C. is a Principal Technical Instructor in Computer Education Unit of the Department of Vocational Teacher Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Technical Education (PGDTE-Computer Education), and Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.A former staff of ICT/Internet Project Center, University Of Nigeria, Nsukka, he organizes workshops/trainings for both staff and students in Computer Application-Excel, SPSS, Window, Ms-word, PowerPoint, Programming Languages- JAVA, C++, Oracle, Dbase and SQL, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).His core passion is youth development in particular and human resource capacity building and development in general. He is involved in conducting several youth empowerment programmes for many NGOs and institutions, including Golden Heart Foundations (GHF) Lagos, Centre for African Renaissance and Reformation Development (CEFARRD) Lagos, Centre for Entrepreneurship, Development and Research, UNN; reaching out to students in secondary schools, tertiary institutions, and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He is a resource person/facilitator for NYSC on Entrepreneurship and Skills acquisitions/capacity building. He is also a mentor for Youth with Innovations in Nigeria (YouWiN!), a Federal Government’s empowerment programme for youths in Nigeria, co-ordinated by Federal Ministry of Finance.A facilitator for Universal Basic Education Commission, he trains teachers in Secondary Schools and Colleges of Education. He also organizes leadership and human resource development trainings for staff of corporate organizations and government parastatals.  He is very vast in ICT, internet resources, networking, cloud computing, virtualization, mobile learning and e-learning. He is a member of the University of Nigeria Senate Ceremonials Committee and the Pioneer Chairman of the ICT and Multimedia Sub-committee. Currently, he is actively involved in a number of researches.
