Ede Emmanuel Okafor

Biography

Prof Emmanuel Okafor Ede hails from Ovoko in Igbo-Eze South local government area of Enugu State. He was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Boniface O, Ede. He finished his primary and secondary education at the Central School, Ovoko and Ovoko Boys Secondary School. He gained admission into the department of Vocational Teacher Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1983/84 session to read Industrial Technical Education. He graduated in 1997 with second class honours upper division. He started working as an Introductory Technology/ Technical Drawing teacher at the University of Nigeria secondary school in 1989. In 1997, he joined the department of vocational teacher education as an assistant lecturer. He obtained his Ph. D in 1999. He rose from Assistant lecturer in 1997 to the rank of Professor in 2010.
