Biography
Born on the 14th of August, 1960, Herbert A. C. Umezuruike obtained his Bachelor and Master of Laws Degrees from University of Ife(now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife and The University of Nigeria, respectively, and Doctor of Philosophy in Law University of Abuja. He teaches Land Law, Banking and Insurance Law at the undergraduate level and Marine Insurance Law at the postgraduate level. He was the Associate Dean of Law from 2000-2005 and the Head, Department of Commercial and Property Law from 2002-2004. He was the Assistant/Acting Secretary of the Academic Staff of Nigerian Universities (University of Nigeria Branch) at various times between 1996-2000.
