Biography
Dr. N. Krishna Reddy began his career as a cardiologist. He has since cofounded many enterprises with a mission to develop models of high quality healthcare that is both affordable and accessible. In 1997, Dr. Reddy cofounded CARE Hospitals, a chain of tertiary care hospitals located in five states across India. CARE Hospitals treat around one million outpatients and one hundred thousand inpatients each year. Advanced procedures at CARE Hospitals cost one tenth of the cost of the same procedures in developed nations, with comparable outcomes. Dr. Reddy expanded the chain across the country as CEO of CARE Hospitals from 2006 to 2013. He currently serves as vice chairman of the company. In this role, he strives to create a model healthcare organization by focusing on care process reengineering to provide safe, effective, efficient, timely, and affordable care; extending the continuum of care beyond hospitals and into communities; and transforming CARE Hospitals into a learning organization.
