Biography

Dr. Thomas Ramdahl, PhD has been the Managing Director of Algeta ASA since March 13, 2014. Dr. Ramdahl served as Chief Operating Officer of Algeta ASA from 2013 to March 13, 2014 and served as its Executive Vice President from January 2009 to March 13, 2014. Dr. Ramdahl served as Chief Technology Officer of Algeta ASA. since January 2009. Dr. Ramdahl had responsibility for technology issues, both for late stage products and the early discovery pipeline. He served as Chief executive Officer of Algeta ASA from 2001 to January 2009 and also served as its President until January 2009. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Anticancer Therapeutic Inventions AS. He joined ATI in August 2001 from Pronova Biocare a.s, Oslo, where he served as Senior Vice President of Operations from 1998 to 2001. At Pronova, Dr. Ramdahl headed of all operations including raw material sourcing and manufacturing of bulk products, nutritional supplements and pharmaceutical products. Pronova is a 100 % subsidiary of Norsk Hydro a.s where Dr. Ramdahl has held various administrative, strategic and business development positions during the last 15 years in the Oil&Gas, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical divisions. He served as a research scientist. Dr. Ramdahl serves as a Director of Omegatri AS. He is the author of more than 40 scientific publications and is co-inventor of 5 patents. Dr. Ramdahl has also been engaged in executive training at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. Dr. Ramdahl gained a PhD in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Oslo in 1984) and an MSc in Organic Chemistry from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1979.
