Biography
Dr. Kristiansen joined AlgiPharma in December 2015. He has a Ph.D. (1998) in biopolymer chemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway. He has held a part-time Associate Professor II position at NTNU; teaching techniques for studying physical and chemical properties of biopolymers. He has more than 10 years’ experience from manufacturing and development of polysaccharides and polysaccharide based formulations for medical applications, holding different managerial positions in R&D and commercial development. Dr. Kristiansen has also been a Director at the Norwegian Research council with responsibility for R&D incentive schemes, and has held a management position in the diagnostics industry with responsibilities for sales and international business development. He brings to the company a blend of R&D, business, project funding and managerial skills. Dr. Kristiansen is a citizen of Norway.
