Biography
has maintained a commitment to advance palliative care, not only in end of life, but for all patients suffering with multiple chronic conditions. On a state level, Dr. Acker serves on the Alabama Board of Nursing Advance Practice Advisory Committee and was appointed by the State of Alabama Medical Director to serve on the newly formed State Advisory Council on Palliative Care. She also serves on the Advance Practice Advisory Council for the Alabama Board of Nursing.
Research Interest
she was part of the inaugural DNP cohort to graduate from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Acker is ACCN certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
