Biography
Deputy Chief, Department of Radiation Oncology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Dr. Recht’s clinical interests include breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, and gynecologic cancers. He has written, edited, or been co-author of more than 200 publications on all aspects of the local-regional therapy of breast cancer. He is currently co-chair of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center breast cancer clinical research committee. Research Interest
He has served on breast-cancer related panels and committees of the American Joint Committeee on Cancer, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (co-chairing its panel on the use of postmastectomy radiotherapy), the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the European Organization for Research in Treatment of Cancer (most recently as American co-chair of its consensus meetings on ductal carcinoma in situ), and the Integration Panel of the Breast Cancer Research Program of the US Department of Defense. He has been listed in numerous compilations of “best doctors” in the United States.
